Default Oil restrictors

Still new to LS stuff, been reading up on them alot though. I just finished a cam swap on an lm7. I didn't do anything with the barbell oil restrictors. Do they need looked at or changed?

They rarely fail.

Changing them is more a recommended then when the engine is completely out and being disassembled.

Ok, the engine is on the stand, I just did head studs, gaskets, cam, and valve springs, the short block itself remained untouched. Thanks.

Besides that, there is only one barbell per engine. I noticed it spoken of in plural..... IF you do change it, there is an upgrade in the form of the SacCity Billet Barbell. It fits more precisely and helps with better oil routing thru the filter. Google it for more info.
