Crank shaft hard to turn
I have a 2001 camaro Ls1 stock motor. Haven’t been running since 2014. Engine is hard to turn by hand so I have to use a 42” ratchet . But it turns all the way around, it’s just really hard for the starter to make it spin. . What could it be the problem ?
It's going to be hard to rotate the engine by hand, you're fighting the compression in the cylinders.
Since you said it's hard for the starter to make it spin, are you staying it has a hard time when starting? When you turn the key, is it cranking slowly or something?
