Default LS1 rod bolt upgrade info...98+

Based on some info posted on FB, it seems that there was a rod bolt change mid year 98 from part number 10239136 to 12568069. The info posted showed a slight increase in bolt size. Just figured I'd pass the info along.

I take it you're on F-body Empire? I too find this odd because it seems so generally accepted on LS1Tech that the switch was late 2000 models and up. I'm going to do heads and intake soon and I would really love to be able to rev to 7000, but based on what I've read here I'm afraid the rod bolts in my 2000 SS won't hold up.

Does anyone know for sure?
