Cylinder Head Question Hey everyone, I have a question about piston to valve clearance. I do plan on measuring this before I complete the engine build but here is the question anyway.
I bored an iron 5.3L LM7 to 3.898 LS1 specs and still have the 706 casting cylinder heads that i'm hoping to still use with the COMP xr269hr-14 camshaft. Would this setup work without any clearance issues?

706 heads have the same valve depth as any other cathedral port. For PTV purposes, you're basically using that camshaft in a stock LS1.
That's an extremely mild camshaft. Not very much duration and about the same lift as a stock LS6 camshaft. You won't come anywhere close to having issues.
