It will likely be years before I can get the Magnuson, if I ever actually do it.

Beyond the flow data, the deck thickness and lifetime warranty on the castings since you plan to boost.
I saw that thread. How would that compare to an LS1? 40 less HP?

If you honestly plan to stay naturally aspirated for 2years or so, go for as much power as you can now. Worry about a boost set up later. You will be dissatisfied now if you dont

I would guess closer than that. With PatG total setup and say only change is short block bore...20-25less? Best guess? I would think 480 is doable without going insane.

I don't want to have to measure P2V. Would 231 intake duration be too close?

It should but it will be close and will also depend on intake centerline. AFR ports are higher than 243, so PTV is improved. I ran a solid 237/245-112.5+2, and it was very tight.

Now that 231 intake in a 110 centerline should be ok. On a 107, it would be close. Sorry to be ambiguous, but there are quite a lot of factors, as I am sure you well know.

If I can get 450 RWHP through my Dana 60, and just porting my FAST 90 intake (essentially making it a FAST 92), I'll be happy.

I think that is very realistic.

We will see how the next few months play out, and see if I get through Income Tax season without needing lube.

I think that's a good goal and I've done 10.91@123 @3850 race weight at 452rwhp through automatic and 12bolt rear

What are the cam specs? I need a cam that plays nice with AC on in 115 degree summers, while driving around parking lot. I think my current cam is 234/235 .590/.610 110LSA. And I really dislike it during the summer.

This is the current setup on the car, minus heads and cam:

Dana 60 with 4.10s
Stage 3 TDP T56 + cryo treated gears
2.5" true duals, dumped at the axle, with cats
FAST 90 intake manifold
92mm to 102mm adapter
102mm Throttle Body
4" MAF housing
LS7 MAF
Custom 4" intake plumbing.

Was 232/234@.050 .599/.599 112+4

Good tuning helps and as for coolant, good radiator

It isn't engine temps. It is the AC compressor kicking on. The parasitic draw of the AC compressor and power steering pump are enough to make the motor try to die. Even when the tune was spot on, these issues still existed.

I am going to switch to flex-fuel too, hopefully at the same time. I know AZ flex-fuel is only like E54, but that should be significantly cleaner burning, and give at least 5% more power.

If the AC and power steering running make the motor try to die, the tune wasn't spot on.

Even E30 is enough octane boost to push the timing. Like you said, exhaust should smell notably better.
