Post LQ4 -> 408 Stroker Internals

Just finished taking apart my 2005 LQ4 6.0 and am looking to turn it into a LS 408 Stroker. I was wondering what crank, rods and pistons others have used. I plan on eventually going turbo but not currently with the motor/tranny/rear end budget I have. So over the winter I believe I will be running a huron speed turbo kit. I was wondering if you guys could help me out decide what internals to run and what compression I should aim for. I've seen Texas speed and CNC Motorsports have some pretty good pricing and looking to buy from either one.

I was originally planning Wiseco -15 or -20cc Pistons with upgraded rings, Lunati H beam rods and Lunati Crank. But maybe you guys could better help me.

Appreciate it in advance!

What you have is fine. These may be cheaper and still be good till 1100 HP with ARP main studs.

K1 forged crankshaft
K1 4340 forged H-beam connecting rods with ARP 2000 rod bolts
Diamond or Wiseco shelf piston with GFX file fit rings

Compression depends on what fuel you plan to run.
If you are going pump 93 on low boost on the street, 9.5:1 compression is my vote and then use race gas at the track on a different tune. If using E85, you bump the compression up.

I’m using the TSP house brand rods and crank in my 408 with wiseco pistons. It’s an NA motor but sees 7200 every time I get in it. It probably has 7k miles on it and made 571/522. No problems so far.

that’s great to hear I was debating on buying their crank and rods too. I just bought their 225cc PRC heads. The numbers you’re at is exactly where I want to be. Around that 550 range.

I will be running 93. The car is basically a weekender otherwise is always garages she never sees the track. But hey who knows maybe in the future? Thanks for the knowledge. If I ran e85 would 10:7:1 high enough or even higher?
