new oil pump?
new oil pump? getting ready to do an LS1 conversion into my mustang and was wondering about the oil pump. i "searched" on here and there seems to be a suprising amount of oil pressure problems, especially with the older motors (mines a 99 w/69k miles). i think i will go ahead and put a new one in, should i use a Z06 pump or is a stock one sufficient. thanks, rich.
any ls6 pump from any of the sponsors will work fine. i bought my ported ls6 pump from TSP at a great price

Welcome to the LS1 side. Keep us posted of your progress.
thanks for the info guys. would rather do it while its on the stand then down the road in the car after possibly hurting something. its going in a 93 coupe, brains on here is doing it also and LS1coupe has already done it.
