Rod Bearings
kings seem to be the choice of many, but every set a find there seems to always be someone saying xxxx doesn't work on stock crank or those are race only, etc throughout the forum. Any advice is appreciatied
thanks!
Last year I rebuilt the LS6 in my race car. Road racing only, naturally aspirated, no street use. I used Clevite/Mahle H series. https://www.mahle-aftermarket.com/na...seriesbearings
When I installed the engine 5 years ago, I didn't touch the bottom end at all. It only had 49K miles on it, and looked really good. When I removed the factory bearings last year, they all looked really good - even the thrust surfaces. I plasti-gauged all of the crank and some of the rod bearings. They were all still within spec, and I could probably have continued to use them. My point is, the stock bearings are very good, too.
