Exclamation piston to bore clearance question

i have a ls6 from my 2004 cts-v that is currently being built. it is being stroked to a 383 with forged internals. 4" forged crank. 6.125 i beam rods. DSS sx 3.913 forged pistons..
So my question is the motor i was told was bored over .010 to a 3.908 from the oem 3.898. is the difference in the pistons for clearance or am i not understanding this correct. ive asked the builder about it and he sorta explained it saying dss builds the .005 clearance into their pistons. im just confused thinking id need a 3.903 piston and dont want to question my builder more than i have. id really like my motor back and i dont wanna upset him more than i have. im just hoping someone can chime in and break it down to my uneducated butt a little better without me feeling like im insulting my builders knowledge.
thank you in advance.

Shelf Piston sizes are labeled for a specific bore size. Pistons are smaller than the bore size. Use what your builder says you need.

my builteebuilder is the one building it and this is what he wrote me.

"There has to be clearance the piston is .010 over then factor .003 to 005 in clearance that's the bore. On 99 blocks you can only go .005 light hoan. DSS makes it so the finish bore is .3. 913 due to the fact Chevy ls6 bores can vary by .005."

The pistons are smaller than the bores and the manufacture's will state what the finished bore should be. The pistons you currently have will not work in a 3.908 bore.

so either my builder is lying about my bore size since a 04 ls6 shouldn't be over 3.908 or he messed up somewhere.

Not to say they wont work but the block will have to be sleeved to accept that size bore as I don't believe you can bore on the stock sleeves anymore than they are now.
