Default flattining the curve....

hey guys... been thinking a lot about building a really good flat torque engine for my C5z.... the car is a daily but used at autocrosses with maybe 1-2 HPDE days a year... I've done a lot to the car as far as chassis setup. (SKF X-tracker bearings... Pfadt poly bushings AMT motorsport camber kit... ap racing brakes.C6Z magnesium engine cradle. Torque tube cover (I fabbed myself out of titanium).. coil overs….ect.) got the car pretty well dialed in and on a diet. now I'm getting close to the engine part... my thought right now is

Ls3 block.
LT truck crank
Ls7 rods with calico DLC coating
custom diamond pistons (I have a few buddies over there) (I'm thinking 11.5 to 12:1 static is my sweet spot but ultimately Dynamic will probably change this....
improved racing crank scraper
avaid dry sump
Davis Craig EWP (at 2,5 lbs and a 7,000 hour life its like a sore D!#k ya cant beat it)
Volvo electric power steering. ( hydraulic to keep the steering feel)
sanderson A/C pump ( I still like my A/C going to work)
needless to say.. the belt drive is going to be interesting LOL!

I'm going to talk to Cary Chouinard and Kurt urban (went to high school with Cary and was Kurt's neighbor for a few years) on cylinder head choice. as well as any opinions you guys have.
I'm planning on staying cathedral though... for the flatter curve.
sniper dual plenum intake.
either LG tri y headers or make them myself.
a hydraulic cam probably in the 220's-230's right now I'm thinking cam motion profile with a 227/234 but, head choice will trump this. ( I'm still in max effort 346 mode in my head)

In autocross you really don't want to shift gears much as it eats time and I cant buy a HD6 sequential trans yet... LOL!!! so I'm looking for big flat.....flat torque. but still with some upper end power yet very streetable. I owe the wife a new back deck that extends to the pool first, but then this starts... I'm in acquisition mode right now for the LS7 rods.

anyways would love your thoughts....

Ambitious plan, but sounds fun.

I'll be putting a similar setup in my C5 here in the next week.
LS3 block and crank, Mahle pistons Compstar rods.
11.5:1 CR Not estimated, actually CC'd everything.
AFR 205 heads from my LS1
Cam also from my LS1 EPS custom 226/230 114+1 .598/.608
Fast 102 intake 90mm TB 1 7/8" headers etc.

A little more cam woulda been nice, but not in the budget.
LS1 dyno attached, I expect the 6.2 will mirror this, just be more throughout the curve. Might peak a bit lower. Dyno Dynamics dyno btw.

Will be interesting to see what the guru's come up with here.
