lifter question

If the lifters are out of the car how can you tell if one of them is collapsed..?????????

Sometimes there will be visable damage to the roller part of the lifter and other times you just cant tell except for damage to the camshaft.

If you have the heads off it'd be smart to just replace them if they are in question.
