Default Parts recommendations for a solid roller setup

I have hit up Pat G for a custom grind solid roller and also picked Cam Motion’s brain and got a few custom grind #s.

For the guys with solid roller setups what lifters did you go with? I like the idea of going with a bar type lifter to do away with the lifter trays.

Also, what rockers are y’all running? I’m leaning towards Jesel but I found a post by another user (1_Fast_LE I think it was) saying he used PRW PQx adjustable rockers and had no issues with them.. they are more than half the cost of the Jesel rockers. I spoke with PRW and the guy I spoke with said they are made off shore but carry a 1yr warranty.. like I said I’m leaning towards the Jesel rockers unless someone can convince me otherwise.

What application is the engine destined for? HP goal? Rev range?

I guess that info is important lol

It’s a 6.0 LQ9, forged crank rods and pistons. Pistons are flat top but have valve reliefs cut in them. Compression is 10.6:1. I have tsp stage 2.5 CNC’d ls6 heads. Current cam is a Howard racing hydraulic 232 236 .625 .625 112lsa. stock rockers with BTR trunnion upgrade. I went cheap on the lifters and I’m paying for it now. Collapsed a couple.

Transmission is a T56 Magnum.

This thing is MOSTLY a street car with some strip time here and there (when I’m not having issues with it).

It’s rev limiter was set at 6,800rpm

I’d like to rev this thing higher. As far as power, I was told by the Rep I spoke to at Cam Motion that typical gains are around 30hp throughout the power band when you switch from a hydraulic roller to a solid roller.

The engine felt like it made good power but if I can make more I’m not going to say no to that. Haha

I wouldn't be afraid to run a solid with them as is but I'd recommend using a quality shaft mounted system and as for springs and lifters I'd probably go with Cam Motion's spring kit and solid link bars.
Cam Motion offers a few different sets of solid link bar lifters.. they range in price from just shy of $400 up to I think $700-$800..

What lifters are you running? I have seen the T&D rockers and may run with those

So far so good. Tony mamo spec'ed them for me. The choices are many. Pressurized axle oiling is almost a must for street use with big springs and solid lifters.

okay, that’s good to know. The axle oiling was what I was wondering about.. Cam Motions $396 lifters don’t mention axle oiling. But their lifters that are closer to $800 mention axle oiling
