I know cans have been talked about excessively on this forum and I have been searching and searching writing down cam specs etc, I know the main company's everyone goes to are texasspeed btr, what about crane cams or lunati cams? Reason I ask is I can get a deal on them but havent heard much on them and if they would be any good for a 6.0 street engine looking to make 500-550

My 6.0 with LS3 heads has a custom 227/236 Pat G cam. I dyno'd 442 through a 4L60 in my C5 Vette. My heads are stock as is my intake manifold. My cam isn't what I would call large by any means. 500-550 flywheel horsepower through a 6.0 is pretty easy with fairly small cams. Brian Tooley, Texas Speed, Cam Motion, etc all make good stuff that will get you there.

You seem to be interested in Crane and Lunati Cams for a Budget Build but you don't provide heads, other mod info, vehicle info, daily driver or weekend warrior, whether you want good driveabity or just best power, etc.

I have seen 6.0s with Cranes work good and have personally ran Lunati 232-238, 599-601, 113+4 and presently 231-237, 622-601, 114+2.

Summit also provides some nice budget price cams to consider. Sloppy Stage 2 on Ebay is ridiculously low priced.

sorry for the late reply the cam i ended up getting was a lunati voodoo Camshaft its abit on the smaller mild side but i got it for a decent price and it seems like a good street cam, as far as heads i have a set of 243s i will be running a trailblazer SS intake as far as pistons im undecided yet but im having trouble picking an upgradeable lifter and valve springs

Depending on 6.0 you have, cam specs, and gas octane you are willing to run, milling the 243s would help in increasing HP and Torque.
