LS1 head bolt install.

I’m doing HCI swap on my 98 TA, and trying to get the pass side head on, Anyone have issues with the AC/Heater Box being in the way from For the lower last head bolt? Budget wasn’t allowing studs so I purchased a set of Jegs Head bolts, and this is the last thing holding me up.

How did you get the old ones out??? Reverse the procedure....

Before placing the head on the block, drop the bolts into the head bolt holes, then move the head over the block, clearing the bottoms of the bolts, then dropping it into position.

bolt won’t thread into the block even with the head off. The heater box is taking up 1/8 inch I need to get the bolt in.

Been wrecked before? There should be room. It would possibly be a PITA, but if you can get the left motor mount and/or mount stand out, loosen the trans mount, then that should let the motor tilt just enough to get the bolt in.
