Cam for swap?!!
Everything is ready for the lq4/4l80 to go in my Jeep. It’s an 87 YJ. I’m down to the last decision and that’s cam choice. Running a factory motor with 317 heads, just want it to wake up a little and sound choppy at idle. Stall is staying factory but i can put a little stall if I absolutely have to. Can anyone help me on picking a cam that will sounds great and have good manners with normal driving. Jeep should be around 3000 pounds total and I have 410 gears

Look into the Summit Ghost cam. 222/232, .600/.575, 115+3. Very good performer, some lope.
I would look for performance before worrying what it sounds like.
Remember that any lope or chop is an intermittent miss, something you don't actually want, but is a consequence of long duration/short LSA.
