Default 5.3 top of rear block

Did a search and couldn’t find anything but can someone tell me what this threaded hole is for on the back of the block passenger side close to the back of the head? Bought this block used and guy I bought it from couldn’t verify what year but said it was early 2000s block. I’m switching all my ls1 stuff over and I didn’t know if I missed something please let me know thanks

Better pictures of it in this ad

This engine has a single ground wire going to that location. The others look to have multiple, so it's going to depend on which harness you have if it connects there or not, or how many wires.

Look at the 9th picture and zoom in

You're welcome.

And yes the F body grounds connect to the back of the drivers side head.

It really does not matter where you connect your ground break outs, as long as they are metal and clean and made of engine, and have conductivity to the main ground wire on the block, that comes from the battery.

You will be absolutely fine man, there are several bolt holes that are not used on different applications. I.E. you can have the same engine in multiple vehicles with several arrangements of which holes are used/not used.

o ok cause on my end I see four pics two with the arrows and two of some random block and pistons lol like it’s the weirdest thing.

and it’ll be going in a 2002 fbody Camaro mostly full weight. I’d go e85 but the closest station one is 45 miles away

Get some drums and fill them up and keep them at the house, race cars need e85!

I'm lucky. I have e85 6 miles from home and run it at all times

Kinda off subject but how long do you store the E85 for? Im doing a similar turbo setup to the OP and really wanna run E85 but the closest station is about 30mins away.
Sorry for hijacking lol

I store it for a week at a time, in my gas tank in my truck lol.

I don't have e85 at home, I have a gas station with e85 6 miles from home.

I don't see why it wouldn't be fine to store it for at least a few months. I would get a fresh can, or plastic container for it. And keep it in the shade somewhere and away from a ton of moisture and out of the sun and it should hold fine if sealed well and in a clean container. I think the biggest issue with fuel sitting for long periods is when it sits in open air, or in really old fuel tanks and sits for very long periods of time. If it's sealed well it should keep far better.

These are all assumptions. But they seem to be good ones.....?
