Default Large coolant plug torque value

I keep reading that the large coolant torque value is 33 ft-lb, but everyone refers to the block heater. I had a block heater in there (aluminum L33 block by the way) but am now replacing it with that steel plug with sealant already on it. Really "only" 33 ft-lb ? wondering because the smaller ones I torqued to 44 ft-lb (according to every book I read).

Just seal it up good and tighten in down good.
The threads are plenty big, so anything between 30-50 lb/ft of torque should be good. It's not a loaded/ stressed component. You just don't need it coming out.

Ok thanks. I tightened it it 35 lb-ft and the "feeling" was good. It's gonna stay that way.
