Hey guys, I have a quick question. I’m building a 2002 LQ9. I have a set of 243 heads, but I’m not sure what year they are. Everywhere I search says I need the 3 bolt head stud kit. When ordering head studs, do the heads matter, or does it go by the engine block? I’m not sure if I need the 3 bolt kit or the 2 bolt. Any help is appreciated.

 

Head bolts/studs go STRICTLY by the block, since that is what they thread into. Heads are all the same bolt hole wise.
