Cam help 427 ls stroker Hey so it's not exactly a camaro lol but I've got a set of TFS 245 heads and I'm doing a darton sleeved 427 4.125 bore x 4.000 stroke some 1 3/4 headers I'm needing a cam reccomend for an 02 1500hd 4x4 with 35s It's my DD but I use it to offroad and mess around whatever cam I get has to pass the sniffer I thought 218/226 possibly but how big can I go and still pass being a larger ci engine

224/228 115 has passed sniffer in a 5.7 with a really good tune in CA.
With a 4.00" Stroke I would research something like 228/232 with a 117* + 4*
Especially with 245 Cathedrals
There are some larger C6 Z06 cams that have been designed to pass in CA.
What state are you in.
Dont want to name any business that have sold "passable cams"
Its getting pretty crazy.... as if there werent more critical issues.
Search Smog Cams
With a 4.00" Stroke I would research something like 228/232 with a 117* + 4*
Especially with 245 Cathedrals
There are some larger C6 Z06 cams that have been designed to pass in CA.

This being a larger engine, it should actually take a decent size cam before it won't pass. You know how displacement eats duration...
