Crank length problem
I have a ‘99 6.0L truck engine. I have a K1 stroker crank installed. The stock flex plate will not fit. It hits the starter and cover bolts. After some light reading, I am assuming that I have a block that was originally equipped with the long crank and that the stroker crank my builder supplied is probably the shorter, more common length. I did assembly, but let my machinist supply short block parts for me.
Is there any kind of spacer I can use, or a aftermarket flywheel that will work? What can I do to fix this without having to replace the crank?
