Is this Excessive ring gap N/A
I have built my lq4 forged rod/piston short block for mild boost with ring gap coming in at .028in. Which would be grand for boost. However the budget is falling short right now and I’m wondering what would happen if I was to drop the motor in and run N/A for awhile?
also can someone plz explain whether or not I’ll need a pcv setup or just a vented setup? I assumed vented as the ring gap is big for N/A and I expect some blow by. I just wonder how detrimental this will be on horsepower.
Thanks
lq4 dish forged summit rods/piston (stock compression ratio aside from slightly milled heads) , stock crank, stage 2 summit turbo cam, 317 heads
