Was your camshaft installed per the cam card? When I installed the cam I just installed dot-dot but it's always good idea to verify the cam is ground per the spec card. Cam Motion 8620 cam ground to Pat G spec's First thing was to get to TDC on the No.1. Piston stop is a more accurate way to this due to the dwell time of the rod and piston but I used a dial indicator for this. The next step was to put a dial indicator on the intake lobe and then reach maximum lift in order to zero out the indicator. Then go .050 before max lobe lift and record your reading which I found to be 61 degrees. Next step was to go .050 after max lobe lift and record that reading which I found to be 154.5 degrees. Add 154.5 to 61 and you get 215.5 degrees and then divide that by 2 and that will give you an intake centerline of 107.75 degrees. Based on the cam spec card the intake centerline calls for 108.1 degrees.
Advancing or retarding the camshaft changes your P-V clearance and even if you installed it dot-dot it's important to verify that the cam is installed correctly or rather ground correctly. Once you have your degree wheel setup for TDC and verified your valve events you can then start to measure your P-V with your dial indicator because you'll now know when your coming up to a specific valve event. The intake valves closest point to the piston occurs when the valve is opening after TDC and the exhaust valve closest point occurs when it's closing before TDC.
There is a number ground under your rocker pedestal. Call tsp give them that number and they will tell you what’s done to those heads. I actually found out years later that my heads have been milled and milled a lot. I’d get that info from them.
