Default 5.3L built with dyno results!

Just built my first 5.3L and I thought I’d share the results.

Engine:
-5.3L iron block
-243 heads (DIY bowl blending)
-CP forged pistons .030 over (10.5/1)
-Gen 2 rods w/ arp bolts
-Stock crank
-SS2 Cam 228/230 .585/.585 LSA 112
-Comp dual springs
-Truck intake/ stock TB
-Cast hooker manifolds
-1000 cc’s/ E85 tune

It made 300 rwhp/ 310 torque with 27 degrees timing at 210 engine temp (4l60e with 12 bolt). Very responsive, pulls from 2,500 to 6ish rpm. I’m super happy with it!!!

Next I will be giving her the boost!

Thank you! I can’t wait to bolt on the VS racing cast 7875 turbo and crank it up! Those Richard Holdener videos make building a boosted 5.3L irresistible! Lol

Nice!!

What torque converter?
Tire diameter?
Rear gear?

For what it's worth, that's almost 100% exactly what my bone stock LS1 did in my 2000 SS when it was stock down to a paper air filter. Stock wheels and tires. Stock everything. A 5.3 making LS1 powa is good.

What are gen 2 rods though?
