Chain Tensioner on an L33?

Chain Tensioner on an L33? Hi, I'm doing an l33 swap to a buddies track car, and I noticed the chain has a ton (3/4"+) of slack. Seems like this is high but not abnormal, and the block I have has tapped holes for a tensioner. I know that l33's don't have one stock but under track use I'm afraid of the chain slipping.
Has anyone tried running a tensioner on an l33? I'm thinking of installing the ls2 brick-style one but if anyone has experience or ideas I'm trying not to do anything too stupid.

I installed one on my 2005 L33 when I noticed my holes were tapped and how cheap it was. I kept the original chain (80k miles) I honestly don't remember how/if it was slack, but I said what the heck, go for it, cheap enough.

I wanted to, but ordered 3 different ones and they were always the wrong one. Figure on a cam swap next spring so I didn't use one, the stock chain ATK used had very little slack in it. Hoping I can have the right one on hand by then.. LOL
