Spun Thrust bearing damage?

Spun Thrust bearing damage?
I received a free LQ4 from a buddy of mine, knowing it had a spun crank bearing. It did not wear through the bearing. In your opinion, how damaged do you think this saddle is? What would a machine shop do to be able to fix it if it needs fixed?

From the angle of that pic, I don’t see any indication that the thrust actually spun. Find a quality shop…hard to find these days…and have them check the mains. Might need a hone at minimum which personally I like to have done anyway on my builds.

That bearing was NOT spun, being well seated in the cap.

As stated that does not look spun. When they spin, you loose the tang that helps locate them.
If you lose oil pressure, you can wipe out the bearing journals pretty quick.
If it was the thrust face that was wiped out, it could be caused by transmission or driveline issues.
