Default General build questions

Hi everyone so I wanted to ask a few questions, but first I want to list out my build and my intentions for said build. After my HCI and full bolt on project I'm hoping for about 500-550 WHP and if it makes more, then I'm going to cap it off at 550. This is a street/weekend car build, likely going to see maybe 3 drag strip pulls for the remainder of its life so its not like its going to be run to the max extent of what it can do frequently. Right now my EGR bolt on the intake snapped so I'm just throwing a freeze plug and deleting the EGR then getting the car tuned, then I went down the rabbit hole of wellllll if I'm getting tuned I might as well throw on headers and a CAI before I do. Now onto the questions.

1. So with the CAI and LT headers I was trying to think of any other minor mods that I should do that aren't going to cost an arm and a leg. I was looking at ls6 intakes on Ebay, but I don't know If I want to get that right now considering when I do the HCI project Im going to get a FAST 92MM anyways. Can anyone think of something minor enough that I should throw on with these basic mods?

2. When I do do the HCI, I read online somewhere if in good condition, lifters can be reused when putting in a new cam. Would that be silly or a valid thing to do?

3. If I buy 243 heads, should I use the oem valves they come with? Or is it really worth buying performance valves?

4. So with my throttle cable I know it feeds into that stupid little box of pulleys and other wires and crap and its preventing my TB from opening all the way or at least thats what my mechanic told me, is there a way to delete that? How would I do that?

5. Now pushrods. Is there some kind of guide somewhere for me to find what pushrod length I should use? Im planning on using the BTR Stage 3 cam. When I look up, "How to decide what length pushrod to use" Safari likes to show me the exact opposite results of what I'm looking for it pops up with " how to measure pushrods"

6. Does anyone here have experience with ws6store? Ive seen them around alot, are they legit?

Thank you ahead of time for anyone who helps out! sorry for all the questions.

What engine do you have? If it's a LS1, 500-550w isn't going to happen unless you drop some money...500w has been done, but probably only a few on an honest dyno. That was the number everyone wanted for years. Most don't understand how much actually goes into it. 450-480w is a lot more common and realistic number that people get.

Skip the 92 and to straight to the FAST 102 and have it ported. 25% UD pulley would be the only "cheap" basic mod I can think of.

2. When I do do the HCI, I read online somewhere if in good condition, lifters can be reused when putting in a new cam. Would that be silly or a valid thing to do?

Depending on the mileage, it may be a good idea to re use the stock lifters.

3. If I buy 243 heads, should I use the oem valves they come with? Or is it really worth buying performance valves?

Targeting 500w, skip the 243's and go with AFR, TFS or Mamo heads

4. So with my throttle cable I know it feeds into that stupid little box of pulleys and other wires and crap and its preventing my TB from opening all the way or at least thats what my mechanic told me, is there a way to delete that? How would I do that?

There is a lot of adjustment that can be made in the throttle cable with a TCS car.

There have been several recent threads on how to measure PR. It's the very last thing you do when you get the engine together. Always measure for your particular setup.

6. Does anyone here have experience with ws6store? Ive seen them around alot, are they legit?

I order a majority of my parts from WS6Store. Those guys are great to deal with.

Thank you ahead of time for anyone who helps out! sorry for all the questions.

Thanks so much! that helps a lot. And yes it is an ls1, thank you for educating me on whats realistic for my engine. Its got 143k on the motor with all scheduled maintenance done on time and frequent oil changes with quality oil. With lifters, looking at them is it pretty obvious if they need to be replaced or not?

I wasn't trying to be a dick in my replies. Please don't take it that way. I know sometimes people get a number in their head and sometimes don't understand how much it costs or if it's even realistic.

The last thing I want is someone to go down the rabbit hole of modding only to be disappointed at the end.
