Default 5.3 Swap

I'm new to LS world and have general knowledge of motors. I decided to rebuild a 5.3 liter and swap into a fox body with a MT.

I've stripped down to rotating assembly but have not touched pistons or rods. The crank and block are solid and some other misc parts but will get many new parts.

I want to keep 706 heads, have them ported, get bigger valves and new valve job. Texas Speed sells a better set of heads with 220cc intake, 84 cc exhaust and 2.045 intake and 1.600 exhaust valves with 64cc combustion chambers. They include .660 lift spring kit and 7.400 long pushrods.

Eventually, I want to add a turbo. Only aiming for max 500 hp, nothing crazy. Can anyone help me stay on the right track, I don't want blow something up.

I'm worried about the bore and PTV clearance, really don’t want bent valves. What should I do to avoid this issue?

Should I bore to a 5.7?
Is that is an option?
Thank you!
My apologies for the incorrect grammar

I am thinking, start with proofreading, spell check, grammar check. Once that is accomplished, maybe perhaps add some punctuation and paragraphs. Then maybe we can read what he said and help him.

Start with a good service manual, then a book on hotrodding small block engines/LS engines.
You'll want the books anyway just for when your reassembling.

I have a Chilton or Haynes forget which, for a 1999-2006 Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra and SUVs. It is valuable for torque patterns, torque specs, ring end gap locations, etc.

As for all that other stuff, nothing wrong with a set of 862 or 706 heads on a 5.3 along with a cam, ground to operate with the whole vehicle's specifications in mind. I personally would use Lloyd Elliot myself; he has some strong running setups running his cylinder heads and custom spec'd camshafts. For 500 hp at the crankshaft a 5.3L does not need a turbo, just a lot of RPM and a big bumpstick.

A 4.8/5.3 has a hard time making use of a 2.00" valve, much less a 2.054" valve. When LPE first started porting 5.3 heads long ago, Car Craft had put a pair on a 5.3L they were working on. LPE had done testing and elected to keep the 1.89" valves and small combustion chambers on the 862/706 heads. That engine made just under 500 hp with an old school Fast LSX intake that had the smaller 78mm opening and 78mm throttle body.

You would get more and faster help IF your posts were more readable. So yeah, you DO need an English lesson.

Did he edit the first post to add punctuation? What am I missing here?

There was always SOME punctuation, but it is still a very difficult read. The only edit showing mentions a poll, but that's it.
Plus he posted this in about 4 forums. He deleted the one in Advanced Engineering, but the rest are still here

Why impose a penalty on the folks you're asking to help?

How can folks help and answer when the written text and grammar is a pain, time consuming to decipher and looks like a Russian BOT wrote it? Not intended as a lecture, just asking in a reasonable tone my friend.

Clear concise communication gets the best response and replies. Otherwise, folks will ask if you're a Russian Bot trying to steal an election. Don't write like a Russian bot. It's just the nature of the game.

Edited, what I think you're asking us...

I suppose that I’m just so used to reading jibberish on Tech that I didn’t think twice about the grammatical errors. I read the post right after he posted last night and had no problem understanding it.
