Default LS6 Head Question ?

I was reading the summit catalog and came across a section on the LS6 heads and it stated, that it will only pass emissions with the ZO6. Can someone shine some light on this and tell me why is that?

Hi Folks,
The LS6 heads are emission legal on the Z06 because that is the package Chevy submitted for emissions. Technically you can't change the headers, etc because it is different then the package certified for emissions. That is way they say for off-road use only. The same thing here, you probably will pass the emission test with the heads. I have them with no DTC but the LT headers are different story.
