Any one ever do heads without cam?
Any one ever do heads without cam? I was just thinking about Heads. They seem to be done with a cam at the same time or after a cam. What about doing the heads first. What kind of HP would stage 2 heads alone net? is there a down side to doing them alone first?

I don't know if there is a down side to doing heads first but you won't be able to get their full potential until you get a cam to complement them. I read on a post in this section that a builder put some of the new AFR 205's on a Z06 without an aftermarket cam and they made over 400 RWHP (don't remember exact numbers), but keep in mind that's with an LS6 intake. They might have had other mods as well, I don't remember. Why are you curious about this? Trying to get some power without having to worry about emissions?
