Default Lq4 Compression ratio help

I’m in the midst of putting together a lq4. I have 799 heads milled 0.020. From what I have heard that would be 10.53:1. Just decided to bore engine over 0.020. Will that bump my compression up much?

Boring will not increase compression. You can go thinner head gaskets to increase it some

Boring does actually increase compression, just not by much. .020 over on an LQ4 will bump you up by .1, so your 10.53:1 will become 10.63:1, approximately.
