HELP ASAP!! Valve dropped

HELP ASAP!! Valve dropped A friend was doing the 1.6 rocker install, and got to doing the first cylinder. It have it at TDC for piston #1. When removing the valve seal, the valve fell down to where i can see it, but i just can't pull it up. It's about 1/4 inch from the top of the valve guide in. I need to know what I can do to get this back up. Please anyone who knows, please reply quick!

Re: HELP ASAP!! Valve dropped We tried that and it doesn't work. And we tried a larger magnet and it won't come up. And we tried the compressed air through the spark plug hole. But thanks for your help. Anyone else got any suggestions?

Re: HELP ASAP!! Valve dropped The magnet probably doesnt work because I think the valves are stainless. If you can somehow adapt a shop vac down to a small enough hose, you may be able to suck it out. Otherwise try a piece of double sided tape on a little screwdriver. Good luck.

That was it. we already had the plug out so we just turned the crank and it pushed it right up. I guess we didn't have it at tdc. what a sigh of relief!
