Default Got engine in a trade how is the cylinder wall

I received an ls1 in a trade a few years ago with plans of putting 3rd gen Camaro. Life happened and obviously that didn't happen. I just started getting everything together to do it again. Got the trans mount motor mounts and an EFI gold box so I can give it a go at tuning. Pulled the heads to give everything a check over because I wasn't even sure it ran. 1 of the cylinders had a bit of rust. I heard flex hones work great for that so I got one and gave it a try it cleaned it up a bit but can still feel the roughness. I was wondering if I can run it as is as long as it has compression, do I send it to a shop to get bored out l, or do I buy a $600 5.3. One of my friends said to run it as is because I'm going to blow it up anyway since it's my first time trying to tune.

End goal is also to turbo it.

Looks terrible from the pics, but it’s always impossible to judge imperfections over the interwebz. I’d have a shop look at it. That block can only be honed about .005 or so. You might be looking at another engine unfortunately.

Looks bad from photo. I don’t think ring seal is going to be in your favor.
