Cheapest way to pop wheels on street with LS1 Fbody
currently own a hci 5th gen and im looking to build something myself over the winter in my garage...
I presume 98-02 camaro would be a solid platform because firebirds are too expensive here in Toronto.
How much power would i need to the wheels? 400? 450? 500? Presume you install a big cam, throw on drs, upgrade diff bushings and a few other parts of suspension would it be achievable?
do i need spray?
Im a younger person compared to most in the scene and before the 5th gen was released it seemed like fbodies and gtos ran the scene entirely. of course the termi was around but it seems mishmash on these forums back in the mid to late 2000s...

these cars are capable of wheel standing bone stock everything on the car but a little transmission work and sticky tires so no need to ruin the engine just yet autocross the car first and appreciate it for what it is before you blow it up
You're in the wrong forum go over and read the transmission and drivetrain stuff first get to know the whole car

I mean the ABSOLUTE CHEAPEST way to do this would be get a new set of slicks on 15” wheels, put as much weight in the trunk/hatch area as possible…think maybe a 1/4 load of gravel here…and do a 5000 rpm clutch dump. 10 bolt will prolly explode, but if it don’t…
