Default New LS1 (cam selection) Topic #98349837

My buddy blew his engine in his M6 00 car. He has recently bought a 02 engine with 9700 miles on it to swap in. Before we do this, he is going to slide in a cam and I want the advice of the cam gurus.

LS6 intake (stock)
QTP 1 3/4 headers
4.10 gears in a 10 bolt
ASP pulley
Custom tuning

It will be a daily driver and he wants to run 11s on drag radials. Of course, he doesn't want to go through springs every year. I'll be installing the stuff and I'm really happy with Comp's customer service in the past and would urge him for the 918s or the 921s.

Also, should we swap out the 9700 lifters while the engine is out?

TIA

Keep the stock lifters, use a 231/237 if he likes a rough idle and wants a kick *** top end pull... stick a TSP225 in it if he wants a smoother idle and a touch more low end while giving up a little up top.
