EPS 236/248 Holley terminator x question.
What's up guys been a while. About 2 years ago I built a max effort SBE LS1 for my ws6. I since sold the car and ended up building a 1985 iroc with a T56 Magnum, 12 bolt etc. The motor has AFR 230v2 heads 2.080 valves and a fast 92. Cam is a 236/248 110+2. I'm running the Holley terminator X even though obviously I know this is a huge cam for a stock 10:5:1 LS1. Will the Terminator help this cam a little bit with a good tune? It's a weekend warrior type deal no more racing really for me. Also thinking 4.30 gears would help down low as well! Thanks!

You can tune in almost any cam with the Terminator type EFI because its Volumetric Efficiency based. If you understand VE, you understand how your engine is working. That combined with tuning the idle in open loop (not depending on the O2 sensor) and it's not too bad, just pick an idle RPM, and add or take away fuel until you hit maximum idle vacuum.
One thing to keep in mind is that the default injector timing of the Terminator X can be iffy. At part throttle you don't want the injector to fire too early. If the car stinks like unburnt fuel at idle and low RPM play with that injector timing and don't give the system so much authority to change to tune based on the O2 sensor and the driveability should be acceptable.
