Default push rod help

I decked my heads down about .020 and Tuesday im checking the CC of them. I have BTR LS7 lifters as well. that saying of the heads being decked do i need to get shorter push rods as well. its a 2005 LQ4 with a stage two summit truck cam, not much towing mainly a daily driver. Would i want to tune this before driving much either?

Id run the standard length you have. LS7 lifters have .200" travel, so .020 shouldnt make a whole lot of difference. If you dont like something after trying this, like maybe increased valvetrain noise, or decreased performance (I doubt either scenario, but you never know), you can always order .020" shorter than OEM (7.400") PRs after the fact. Just be sure to measure what you have now for reference, and in case someone has installed non standard lifters and pushrods....

I’d try it. A lot of times, a little more LS7 lifter preload will quiet them down some. I set mine up a little deeper on purpose. In the LS7 lifter world window of .200, .020 isn’t a big deal, as Grinder said.
