How to pick LS6 & LS2 heads difference LS6 and LS2 heads.
Is there anyway to tell them apart at all. Obviously without pulling them apart and weighing the valves???
Are valves magnetic in one or the other??
Being LS6 are hollow stem and ls2 aren't??

Both have steel valves and one difference between them other than the springs was the LS6 heads had hollow stem intake valves, which are lighter (73g) verses the solid stem (103g) and sodium filled exhaust valves (65g) verses the solid stem (88g).
The only way to know would be to weigh the valves. LS6 head casting number is 243 which is the same as a 799 and both of these can be found on Gen IV LS 5.3 engines.
