Failed crank sensor question

Failed crank sensor question So I got a code for a crank sensor on my L33 (P0335) maybe 20 miles from my house, I continued to drive it to try and get home. Figured it would just die on me once it quit. I got maybe 2 miles from the house it felt it get jerky and I started smelling gas. Got home and parked it. Ran to town and got a sensor, installed it and the code went away. Had trouble getting it started, but it started. Now my issue is I am still smelling gas and the engine is down on power. So I am going to start diagnosing this afternoon, Question is could I just have fouled plugs? I am really hoping its not any internal damage, this is a fresh rebuilt L33 with a cam.

Is this on a Silverado? Make sure you do a crankshaft variation learn now, or you'll start having problems. You definitely could have fouled the plugs, pull them and check.
