Default Guys with the TR 230/224.

I put the cam in set at 0 thinking it had 4 degrees of advanced timing in. A buddy of mine told me that they don't and that I had to set it myself. I just want to know cause I'm going to be changing the oil pump here soon. Thanks

Didn't the cam come w/ a spec sheet or card? It may also be stamped onto the end of the cam.

If there's no way to tell for sure, you can always use a degree wheel, & check when the intake valve opens.

Good luck....

I already have the cam in and have been running. Seems ok to me. I just want to see. I think I'm going to degree so I can get it right.

The TR230/224 has 0 advance ground into it. That's the way we designed it and the way we install it. So dot to dot should be fine.
