BTR TK002 Trunnion Kit Side to Side Play

2002 LQ4 with 862 heads, 1218 PAC springs, stock rocker arms. I'm installing BTR TK002 Trunnion Kit. I am surprised by the amount of side-to-side movement after the new trunnions are installed compared to the stock trunnion. I haven't measured the amount of side movement yet. How much side-to-side movement is acceptable?

I just measured the amount of side to side movement and it's 1.34 to 1.5 mm. The stock removed from the vehicle seems much tighter. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same concerns back in 2021 after I installed 002 trunnion kit, so I sent BTR this video. They responded this "Thats normal so you are good to go!"
