LQ4 build
fast forward to now, I have a 1400/1450 class truck I’m building and have 2 engines. 1 of which is being built. 408 stroker but that is an owed favor so don’t expect to see that for the next 6-9 months as his shop is super slammed at the moment.
other engine is a stock LQ4 that I’m wanting to run in the truck at the moment to get my suspension tuned and dialed in. Packaging the intake is a key point here because I have a full center mount front suspension set up that is just shy of 24.5” of travel so the engine was pushed back about 23”. Because of this I am wanting to run a dual plane low rise intake with dual 4150/4500 set up so I can keep the sprint car filter set up right above the manifold and that I could also swap over to the 408 when that’s delivered.
ny question to you guys, what is a good cam to compliment that set up? Keep in mind I have 39” tires. 4L80 and a ford 9” 40 spline axles with a 4.56 set up but also have a 5.13 set up I might test out.
Here’s a pic for all you desert rat fans
