Morel 7717 getting louder
Morel 7717 getting louder Maybe I’m going crazy here but has anyone had morel 7717 lifters get louder after running them for awhile? My engine has been together for 3 years now on this current combo although I haven’t put many miles on it and the valvetrain seems so much louder this spring than previous years to the point where I tore the top end off the motor to look everything over, all lobes are okay and all lifters are pumped up and roller wheels okay, no slop in the lifter trays or rockers etc etc and even cut open the oil filter to look for debris and didn’t find anything
cam is 235/247 summit ls3 stage 4 with morel 7717 lifters, cam motion hardened pushrods (forget length after 3 years but were measured correctly with a tool before ordering), cam motion dual .660 springs with tool steel retainers and CHE trunnions in the rockers

Did you check for excessive guide wear? I only say this because I started noticing louder valvetrain noises on a set of PRC LS7 heads so I pulled the rockers and started presssing against the valvesprings with my two thumbs and noticed excessive up and down movement on all the intake valves. I won't get into the details why and I'll just say it had nothing to do with the PRC heads or Texas Speed as to why this ended up happening.

EDIT: ended up just being an exhaust leak under the car
