Default Would you run these valves?

Hey all. Posting this for a friend. He got a set of used 243 heads and we disassembled it for inspection and cleaning. Came across this on the valves:

First was one intake valve had a bit of rust on the seat. It cleaned up well, but there's a little bit of pitting.

We were planning on lapping the valves in. Think thatll be enough?

Also, the exhaust valves don't look great. hefty pitting on the seats

The one exhaust valve on the right the seat is almost completely gone.

Thoughts?

no, definitely not. I just threw some of those in the trash and put ferreas in, and they didn't look that bad. I'm sure your going to get comments either way, BUT, I'm a cheapass and I still spent the money to put good valves in. I don't like pulling heads off because I cheaped out. Did that one time, won't make that mistake again.

Just did some searching, looks like michigan motorsports has a full set of factory replacement valves for 150. I think we're going that route!

remember that part I mentioned that I cheaped out and I learned my lesson? Well I bought some of those elcheapo depo valves like that and one failed. I would highly unrecommend using those. You've been warned.

What valves did you buy specifically? I just bought some of the Michigan valves also. Looked decent, stainless.

the ones I bought were stainless and I'm 99.99% sure it was from them. Valves looked great, not ferrea great but nicer than stock. Tuliped an exhaust valve, put ferreas in like I should have originally and took it as a lesson learned.... theres a reason they are that cheap.
