Advanced Induction and Total Engine Airflow get high marks for port work.

Katech had reasonable prices for CNC work on stock heads.

Next question is how long lol, I hear some saying 6+ months and possibly longer. A few weeks to 2-3 months I can understand but waiting a year is crazy. By then I might have completely changed my goals and build lol. TBH I’ve also been looking at Summit racing as cast LS heads ( supposedly they are AFR Enforcer heads) and I might just sell my hand ported 706s and 799s and buy them and do some mild hand porting on those instead. And I would only have days to 2 weeks downtime. And by time I sell my heads these aftermarket heads would be super cheap to almost FREE. FWIW I only do 87/88% and 84/85% throat work remove bolt bulge, pocket work and polish exhaust port. I’d probably go even slightly milder on those AFR/ Summit heads. Any suggestions/ recommendations/ thoughts?

Mast did my 243's and I think the work was great for $900. That being said, the customer service was not great and it took 5-6 weeks to get product and they had the cores. I would go with LME or GPI over anyone mentioned. LME has a killer 243 head port and service is spot on. GPI service is also excellent, but has a 3 month backlog when i was speaking to them. They may be better now, I would check. I regret not going with the LME heads for my build.

I wouldn't use those afr enforcer heads. A guy on ls1gto had an issue with the springs that came with them and they really arent much better than a 243. Stick with your hand ported 243s as they will be as good if not better. Plus they have powder metal guides instead of bronze.

Or if you want cnc, wait till black Friday and buy tsp 243 brawler heads at a discount or get your 243s cnc ported for about $1500 with shipping included.

I know Tony is not the only guy that knows a lot about porting and building heads. But I truly believe 100% that there's nobody on the planet who knows more about building ultra high perf street heads than he does. He also excels at racing heads. I've even been accused of giving him a lot of free advertising. OK, if thats what people think, so be it. I'll promote anyone who knows what the Hell they're doing in any given occupation. Tony has been a HUGE help to me. I think he proved himself at AFR decades ago. Something that has always intrigued me is why AFR never came out with proprietary LS7 head castings. With hindsight, I think its pretty clear as to why they didn't. Tony promotes port velocity along with size. He won't sacrifice either. At that time, he was at AFR. The LS7 heads were pretty tough to improve on, performance wise. That's why Tony has gone with his own version of improved LS7 heads by starting with bare TFS heads. He tried to talk me into a set for a good price. I wish I would've listened. Oh, I'm very happy with what he's done for me on my LS7 heads. He did a great job. But theres no doubt his own Mamofied TFS heads are better. But what a great job he did on my OEM LS7 heads. Feels like a different car! I'm serious when I say I was definitely concerned how strong the seat backs are in my C5, because when the car hooks well, it just pins you against them, hard!! So if you want porting second to none, along with great customer service, call Tony. If this sounds like an ad, it's not intended to be. It's simple facts. I had a set of his AFR 225 heads on my motor years ago. But any LS motor would benefit from what Tony can do for them.

Texas Speed got mine turned around in under 3 weeks. Good folks to deal with, too. I had mine dropped off and picked up so that helped my time table.

Do you have pictures of the 706s and 799s? Maybe you could practice porting further on the 706s to see what works.
