I had reached out to AI at the end of last year on one of their LS3 offerings. I got one response, I replied, and never heard back. I wound up taking the heads to Slawko in Morgantown, Pa for the work. Partly because they were responsive and partly because they were within driving distance.

I didnt know you were local either. I see you are wilmington. I'm near Lansdale, PA and my parents live in newark, de

Guys…Wade here…99 blackbird T/A is a legit seller. He’s done more testing than most here with his stuff. Buy with confidence! He’s a close friend of mine.

Update:
After numerous attempts to get Phil to contact me about a refund, I had my lawyer send him a letter, registered mail. The letter states that I would like my money back and all parts, or my deposit plus the value of my parts. I have the post card from the postal service with Phil's signature which is proof that he received the letter. A week after I got the deliver confirming post card, I get an email from Phil, apologizing for the delay, states my heads are done and need finishing before shipping out. I replied that he should reference the letter he received and refund me. He agreed to refund me and buy my cores in an email on Nov 1st. I wouldn't be posting this if I had received a refund. Its been 20 days without any refund or reply to the 4 follow ups I have sent.
If I get my refund, I will let the community know in this thread. But for anyone considering if they should engage with this business, consider my situation. Of course this amount of money won't hurt me or my family, but I won't allow others to fall prey to bad business. If this happens frequently, I want people to know.
If forced, I will post the letter he received, the signed delivery confirmation, and his email stating he would refund me.
Meanwhile, I received my heads from Mamo. What a difference in customer service. You text that guy a question and you get a reply or a phone call same day.

I will. I was thinking of making a build thread for my new engine. Its gonna be a little different from the norm. Its an aluminum 6.0 LS2 block with stock crank, Molnar rods, Mahle pistons. Super good heads, tiny camshaft (225/229 on 114 LSA). Its not radically different, just a smaller cam than most people would choose. My goal is 11.60- 11.70s with a smooth idle and no race cam chop.

what mamo heads did you buy and can you give an approximate price? I know they are great and you get what you pay for.

Scott A, so you STILL haven't received a refund, your heads, or a response to your last 3 or 4 emails/calls/texts, etc? If not, this is so sad. This guy must think he's above the law, and will get around to whatever it is he should be doing when he's damn good and ready. Face it, ADVANCED INDUCTION SUCKS! You can be the best in the world at what you do, but it doesn't matter if you wont do the work. I really feel bad for you and the rest of his customers, who he is basically defrauding. I'll bet the letter from the attorney cost $350-$500. I think we all know who's gonna pay for that. He's got a lot of nerve apologizing. It's easy to say you're sorry. Not so easy, for him at least, to be sincere. Like I said, whatta jerk. I can think of a few other names that are a lot worse, but it won't help you, so I won't say them. Maybe have a few friends start calling him at 2:30 A.M.. Sometimes the only thing these guys understand is fighting fire with fire......

By the way, if you get your combo together and can hook up on the starting line, I'm certain 11.60s will be easy peasy. Tony is the best. I've had him call at 10:00 at night to offer help and advice. He's a great guy, and values his customers, and especially his reputation. You can't build a good reputation without good, happy customers, of which I am one. I bet you will be, too.....

You are correct. I have not received a refund. Don't feel bad for me my friend. It sucks to chase down money, but I'm fine. While I would really like a refund, this is more to let others know to watch out for yourself. What is way worse than the lost money is the time lost racing. I work really hard to ensure my family is safe and provided for. Sometimes work is great, sometimes it wears you down. Weekend bracket/ index racing was my escape. I didn't race in the 2025 season! I trusted this guy would eventually provide me my heads. As the racing season went on without me, my racing friends kept asking me when I would be back. Most unfortunate of all is that I missed racing with a friend who passed from cancer this season. He made it to a handful of races before he couldn't and I missed them.
I now have a long winter ahead of me to assemble my new engine and I'll be back racing for the 2026 season.

Scott, you could contact police local to AI and get the phone number for the local magistrate to file a claim against Phil.

I just got a email notification that a package is coming to me via UPS from Advanced Induction. I don't know what I'm gonna receive because Phil told me in an email that "heads are done, just need final chamber size". When I told him I didn't need them anymore, he agreed to buy my cores. The only other thing it could be is a box of PAC 1219 valve springs that I shipped to him. This is so weird.

i dont recall, but i think you can see a weight.
DO NOT post your tracking number though. If it light, its the springs. If its around 50-55lbs, its the heads.

Good call. I just checked and it did not list a weight. I thought UPS listed a weight, so I looked up an old Rockauto tracking number and that didn't list a weight either. Just gonna have to wait. Whatever happens, I hope this story is over.

If you've received $$$$ back, or he bought, AND PAID FOR, your heads, thats great. I'm so glad you exposed this guy. What he did to you is criminal. I wouldn't believe anything he says. If he was 2 miles away, and told me it was raining outside, I'd have to look out the window and verify it......

Time to wrap this story up with a reasonable ending. I got my valve springs, a refund check for my deposit and he paid me for what I paid for my cores. Also a hand written apology for the delay. For what its worth, I have never come across anyone complaining about his workmanship, only his timeliness.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
