Default Tie bar valve train sound

Hot debate I know…

this is my first fully rebuild motor.
Lq4 I’m not sure this sound is normal.
this is the first start about up to operating temp. It was a little louder before it got to temp.

lifters are gatermen tie bars
.090 total travel. They are set up at .040 (measured with dial indicated)

Rockers are comp cam magnum full rollers, 1.8 ratio, non adjustable

with the 1.8 ratio rockers the cam is .630 lift 238/242

I’ve heard headers make it more noisy too

Does it quiet down when it gets up to temp?? Sounds like it's ticking a bit loud.

That is up to temp. It seems a bit loud , but seems justifiable given all the other noise makers in a 100% completely not stock motor. I just don’t have experience with non stock motors valve train sounds

Are you sure the rockers aren't hitting the baffles in the valve covers?

Yeah I measured wit clay, it was close with the tall valve covers. But I also use the Mechanic stethoscope while it was running and I would’ve noticed that sound. It sounded pretty smooth with the stethoscope.
