TSP does a mail order tune for $250. That could save you a little. Oh, did I mention some rubber to hold that new found power.

i dont know if i would even want the mail order tune, if i did ever do that i would immediately go up after that to the dyno and get it on an a/f meter to check things out. i think for the couple hundo extra the tune is worth it to get the most out of my combo. yeah i will definately need some rubber, the list goes on and on, its never complete

Glad to hear your assurance that my stock oil pump is probably okay.

Your list looks pretty complete, good parts too.

Good luck on the install!
i didnt like the 918s but thats cool. the patriot gold dual springs, titanium retainers, seals, super7 locks, etc were only $295, cant really beat that for one of if not the best springs setup then i added the pushrods, gaskets, and chain and got a discount and it came up to like $499, not bad at all.

yeah people have done fine without replacing the pump, i dont know if i would trust it being that i have a lot more miles even though my pump seems fine they have been known to fail. but if your gonna swap again later you could get away with doing the pump and chain at that time.

thanks im gonna need a lot of for the install, lol.

Did you have a problem with 918s? Since they didn't have the Crane Duals in stock, if I wanted duals, it would have been +$175.00 for Comp duals (I'm pretty sure they were Comp), so I went with the springs that seem to have a pretty good track record, plus they should be fine with the moderate .563 224/224 112.

I might need to pop a few during my install too. I have nightmares where lifters are falling, and valves are dropping.

no the 918s are a good single spring for that cam, but if you plan to go bigger the duals are a must and i figure while im paying for springs might as well get the good ones so later i can upgrade the cam with just a swap. if your gonna be racing it a lot i dont know if i would trust single springs after like 15k miles. my friend is on his third set of dual springs with a big cam, hes got the golds now, should last a lot longer, i just wanted to be safe

lol at the nightmares

Heck, Jeff, you can't go wrong with Patriots--wise choice (from my research). I wanted dual springs, but ended up with 918s. I'll probably change them next cam swap.

It probably won't be for another week until I can do my install (I just ordered the parts today), but keep us posted on how your install goes. This should be fun!

Hey Jeff, I checked out the pics of your car, and it looks like my car only a Camaro version. My Firehawk chrome wheels are similar to yours; I've got a clear MTI lid too, and both are silver. You have superb taste, my man.

i would add in a rear end and clutch, maybe a driveshaft if you wanna be super safe, there goes another 3500.00 without install charges.
