Default Help w/ building first forged bottom end

I am planning on building my first bottom end for my 00 Vette, that has a ATI Single Intercooler kit running 5# but seeing 7+ at 6k. I also have LS6 heads w/ a home port job on the exhaust side (basicly smoothed the port out).

I don't wanna bore it out or go nutz the car has enough power the way it is, I am just looking to put a forged bottom end for insurance. I am just thinking of putting in 3.898 pistons w/ a -2cc and 6.098 rods so i don't have to get any machine work done other than balancing the rotating assmb.

My question is about everything? How do i pick out the main and rod bearings? I looked on thunder racing and they have a whole bunch of different ones to choose from.
Also do I need to have the PCM relearn the crank trigger sensor?

And is there anything else that I need to know about doin this? I have a Chiltons manual for newer Camaros so that gives me some info on the LS1 specs but I know this place has a ton of info that people already know and can help a guy out like me.

AND YES NO FLAMES FOR THE STOCK ROD PISTON SIZE... I jsut pulled the heads off and you can still see the cross hatching from the factory, the motor only has 30k on the clock so I am that is why i am not looking into honing it out to a 3.905 bore w/ the 6.125 rods. I am doin it on a budget like everything else, and I am sure alot of other guys would like to know the same thing in the future
