1.8 Rockers lame question

What does it mean and do I have these on my 02? Is it a ratio of some kind of the rocker arm? Was looking at a camshaft to buy and it says it won't work with 1.8 rockers. Thanks

The stock ratio is 1.7, if you change to a 1.8 ratio the valve lift will increase about .030". That's why you need to get the approiate cam for the rockers you will be using. Otherwise you might run into a coil bind or piston to valve clearence problem.

Rocker ratio shouldn't change the ramp rate, it just changes to overall lift evenly over the lobe, ramp rate is still going to be the 1.7 curve, multiplied by 1.1.
