I just bought a .571 .576 114lsa cam. what springs, retainers, etc do you guys use. I saw a advertisement in a magazine for a comp kit. came with springs, titanium retainers, seals and guides. but they want $590.00 for the kit. let me know. thanx

I would use a 26918-16 "918" spring all day long on that cam. Use a retainer # 772-16

you can get both for about $300-$350

Not to hijack the thread here... but these engines don't come with pushrod guides stock.

Why?

And is there any benefit from getting some like 1badazzss is doing?

i think he means seats since he's talking about the comp 921 dual set.

what do you mean by benefit, a spring swap is neccessary for a new cam.

if you are thinking about the dual springs i would suggest the Patriot golds, at least from what ive heard. i recieved mine today and am planning on using them on my .595/.585 lift cam. $310 from TSP shipped. a little cheaper than the comp's, and probably just as good
